To put it simply, the suction line is the pipe that goes from the pool to the equipment, the return is from the equipment back to the pool. The skimmer box is the first line of defence in your suction line. The purpose of a skimmer box is to provide:

• Filtration for larger pieces of debris,
• Allow a suction cleaner to function.

This important piece of equipment is installed on the edge of the pool and is done when the pool is built. The skimmer box consists of four replaceable parts:

• Skimmer Basket

• Collects large pieces debris before the equipment

• Vacuum Plate

• Allows a suction cleaner to operate

• Deck Lid

• Provides aesthetics as well as preventing a trip hazard

• Weir Door

• Prevents debris from escaping back into the pool.
